Two notable sales accounted for nearly half of Sea Isle City’s September sales dollars, combining for $9.9 million in a month that recorded nine closings totaling $21.38 million.

The priciest home sale was notable for, well, the price. It tied the all-time record for Sea Isle’s largest single-family home sale.

That distinction went to 5 81st Street, which closed Sept. 8 for $7.4 million.

That transaction supplied 34.6% of the month’s dollars.

The second notable purchase came on the Promenade, at 9 42nd Street.

The property, former home to the long-departed Adelita Mexican Restaurant, sold Sept. 29 for $2.5 million. It had most recently asked $2.995 million.

Together, the two closings supplied 46.3% of September’s total. The remaining seven sales combined for $11.48 million.

Without the record-tying home sale, Sea Isle’s September sales would have been on the softer side.
